1. Introduction to the construction process of anti-pollution flashover coatings

Under the premise that conditions permit, priority should be given to the construction method of applying anti-pollution flashover paint on the insulators before the equipment leaves the factory, or the construction method similar to applying anti-pollution flashover paint in the factory environment. The construction party shall go through the formalities in accordance with the electrical safety work regulations and other relevant documents before entering the construction site, and the construction process shall comply with the requirements of the safety regulations. The anti-pollution flashover coating should avoid construction under humid weather conditions such as fogging, condensation, precipitation, snowfall, and wind and sand weather conditions, and the construction temperature should be above -20℃. The surface of the insulator should be cleaned and dried before construction. Oil stains and other contaminants that affect the adhesion of the anti-fouling flashover paint should be removed with a suitable cleaning agent. Prohibited cleaning agents include: surfactants and other cleaning agents with mold release, strong oxidizing cleaning agents.

2. Precautions for overcoating of failed coatings of anti-pollution flashover coatings

The failed coating with poor adhesion should be thoroughly removed and then reapplied with anti-pollution flashover paint. For failed coatings with good adhesion, remove the floating ash on the surface of the coating and recoat with anti-pollution flashover paint. For oil leaking equipment, the oil leaking defect should be dealt with, and the anti-pollution flashover coating should be reapplied after removing the coating of the oil-stained part. The antifouling flashover coating shall not interfere with preventive testing of the equipment. For disc-shaped suspension porcelain insulators, insulation resistance test should be carried out before construction, and insulators with zero and low values should be replaced before construction. During construction, the parts for zero value measurement should be left on the fittings. The antifouling flashover coating should be mixed evenly under sealed conditions before use. The construction of the anti-pollution flashover coating in the substation shall adopt the spraying process, and the construction of the anti-pollution flashover coating of the line shall adopt the spraying process. The coating thickness of anti-pollution flashover coatings (including overcoating anti-pollution flashover coatings) shall not be less than 0.4 mm. Make sure the coating is even, smooth, no buildup, no flow, no bubbles, no stringing, no chipping, no missing coating.

Ruisen's RTV II anti-pollution flashover coatings work by providing a hydrophobic surface that, in the presence of moisture and contaminants, limits leakage currents to harmless levels, reducing the risk of contamination-related flashovers and extending service life. Our products prevent pollution flashovers, avoid power outages, and protect electrical equipment. We can provide RTV coatings in different colors, such as red, gray, white and other colors, to meet the requirements of different customers. You are welcome to consult online!
